Roger Gary Bosin age 71 entered his eternal rest and reward on Monday, January 22nd after a 30 year battle with heart disease. He was born in Appleton on October 15, 1946, son of the late Henry and Ernestine (Michaelis) Bosin. Roger married Patricia Minkebige on January 7, 1977.
Roger graduated from Seymour High School in 1964 and then enlisted in the Army to serve his country in Germany. Upon returning he worked for Matthews Tire and went on to drive semi for Mills Fleet Farm where he later worked in their warehouse. He retired in 2007. Roger loved spending time with his family, looking out at the Bay of Green Bay, going to McDonald’s, and our casino runs.
He leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Patty. He is further survived by two children: Shawn and (Troy) Trudeau and Blake Bosin; six grandchildren: Ty and Kristy Van Beek, Morgan and Jodi St. Aubin, Shelby Spielbauer and Tucker Trudeau; two great grandchildren; Brayden Clark and Quinn St. Aubin; His sisters, Audrey (Bill) Borchardt, Marjorie (Mark) Sternhagen, Debra (Mike) Emshoff; brother, Ken (Marie) Bosin; and many nieces and nephews. He was further preceded in death by his siblings: Arlene Bosin, Lorraine Retzlaff, Eleanor McKeever, Elaine Schroeder and Eugene Bosin.
Memorial service for Roger will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday January 26, 2018, at MOUNT OLIVE EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 930 E. Florida Ave, Appleton, with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Friday evening beginning at 5:00 PM until the service at 7:00PM. Interment will be at a later date.
Memorials can be made in Roger’s name to the Fox Valley Humane Society or the Menominee, MI Humane Society.
