Robert E. Klevesahl, 92, of Appleton, died Thursday September 13, 2018 at The Bridges of Appleton. He was born August 13, 1926 in the Town of Lesser, near Bonduel, the youngest of three sons of the late Robert and Hattie (Richter) Klevesahl. Bob married Marilyn Duwe on May 28, 1949.
Bob graduated from Bonduel High School in 1944 where he enjoyed playing on both basketball and baseball teams. Upon his graduation, Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during WWII. Bob returned to Appleton and opened Appleton Barber Shop, on Wisconsin Ave. Bob was an avid golfer and bowler, playing in leagues well into his 80’s. He was a member of American Legion post #38, and St. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. Bob had a great faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Marilyn; their three daughters: Barbara (Anthony) De Stefano, Carla (Bob) Rochon and Denise (Jim) Semrow; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was further preceded in death by an infant brother; his two older brothers: Howard and Calvin; and his great granddaughter Addison Mae Rochon.
Funeral service for Bob will be 11:00 AM on Monday September 17, 2018 at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason Street, with Rev. Thomas Mielke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Monday morning beginning at 9:00 until 10:45 AM, with service to follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park with full military honors
