Peggy Ann Goss

Peggy Ann Goss, 63, of Appleton passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 1, 2018, with her family by her side. 

Peggy was born September 1, 1954, to the late Roland and Gladys(Schinke) Peterson.  She grew up on Appleton’s south side and was a graduate of Appleton East High School in 1973.  Peggy attended nursing school at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, and worked at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, where she would spend the next 39 years.  She was united in marriage to Mike Goss on June 7, 1991.  She may have chosen nursing as a career, but she never stopped administering care, no matter how she felt, she never failed to ask about the welfare of those she loved. Peggy never lost her sense of humor, dark as things often became, she always had a way to make others laugh.

Peggy is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her sister: Patricia (Larry) Rogers; mother-in-law, Mary Hermsen; sisters - in – law, Wendy (Don Hill) Wisdom, Becky (Rick) Lindberg, and Sarah (Al) Jurgensen; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton with Chaplain Nanette Gutiervez officiating.  Peggy’s family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

Peggy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff who assisted in her care, including those at Primary Care Associates, Fox Valley Hematology and Oncology, ThedaCare Cancer Center, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Emergency Room.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been created in Peggy’s name.
