Oscar Garza Jr.

Oscar Garza, Jr., age 62, died peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton following a brief illness.

Oscar was born on December 20, 1955 the son of Oscar and Maria Emma (Alanis) Garza, Sr., in Brownsville, Texas. He was raised in the local area working for Stokely-Van Kamp farmers with his family. He met his wife Maria Herminia Martinez in south Texas where they were united in marriage on September 29, 1979. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, loved family barbecues and singing along with his favorite artists. Oscar is survived by his wife, Maria of 38 years, and their four sons, Oscar III, Orlando, Octavio and Omar Garza; his three grandchildren; his mother, Maria Emma and five brothers. He was preceded in death by his father Oscar Garza Sr. 

The funeral service for Oscar will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.at Valley Funeral Home of Appleton with Rev. Lucas Bressan officiating. Oscar’s family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
