Norman Flom Obituary

Norman O. Flom age 87, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Prairie Homes with his family by his side. He was born on August 20, 1930 in Marinette, the son of the late Oscar and Thelma (Jones) Flom. Norm graduated from Gillett High School and after worked on the family farm until going into service. He proudly served our country during the Korean War, from 1950 to 1954, in the Air Force. Norm loved traveling, and enjoyed many family vacations including the World’s Fair in Canada. He also had a timeshare in Aruba for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the kids play sports. Norm was a long time member of the Lions Club.

Norm is survived by seven children: Patricia (Larry) Carlson, Mary Flom, Kathy Brock, Joe (Cheri) Flom, Bev (Wayne) Wendt, Jan (Pat) Nabbefeld, and David Flom; nine grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, two brothers: Earl (Ida) Flom and Aaron (Rita) Flom; and one sister, Doris (Lloyd) Cota. He is further survived by many other relatives and dear friends. Norm is preceded in death by his parents, three wives: Julieanne, Edwina, and Kay; one sister, Eleanor and two brothers: Robert and John Flom.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 am on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at St. Pius X, 500 W. Marquette Street, with Father Jim Jugenheimer officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:30 am until 11:15 am with Mass to follow. Private inurnment will take place at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Menasha.
