Mark Mathena Obituary

Mark James Mathena, 27, of Madison, formerly of Appleton, passed away Friday May 4, 2018. He was born in Escanaba, MI on October 16, 1990.

Mark was a graduate of Appleton West High School and student of UW Oshkosh. He was a very accomplished musician, and photographer; who had recently returned from New York. He enjoyed music, art, & travelling. He will always be loved and remembered for his gentle spirit and humor.

Mark is survived by his parents: Kenneth & Peggy Mathena & Denise Eagle; his siblings: Michael & Carolynn Mathena, Anthony Strong, Andrew Strong, & Mandy Mathena; nieces and nephew: Aubrey, London , Zella, & Adrial; His Grandmother, Shirley Mathena; Uncle Guy Mathena and Family; Aunt Eyvonne and Family; as well as numerous extended family members, friends, daycare family, and social media friends.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Lorren (Mike) and Virginia Pinney, FL; Donald Mathena, U.P; and George and Beverly Reiland, WI.

A Celebration of Mark’s life is being planned for a later date.
