Margaret J. (McKeefry) Francke, age 98, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018. She was born on October 8, 1919 the daughter of the late Irvin and Jennie (Meyer) McKeefry. Margaret was united in marriage to Merrill Francke on February 25, 1939 in Appleton. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1985. Margaret worked for the Appleton Wire Works, now known as Albany International, for 35 years until her retirement in 1981. She is a member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Appleton.
Margaret is survived by one daughter, Barbara (Don Eichsteadt) Zibell, two granddaughters: Roxanne (Dave) Handel and Raynette (Ronald) Stammer; great-grandchildren: Janel (Brian) Randall, Collin Handel, and Brittany Stammer; two great-great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Jaxon Randall; sisters-in-law: Alvana (Jim) Mergesky and Carol Shoemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Merrill, a daughter, Helen, son-in-law, Roger Zibell, and brother, Earl (Leona) McKeefry.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Highland Memorial Park Chapel, 3131 N Richmond Street, with Pastor Mark Henke officiating. Friends and family may visit at the cemetery Chapel from 10:00 am until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
