June Arlene (Thomas) Farquhar

June A. Farquhar, of Appleton, gained her Heavenly wings on Saturday March 3, 2018.  She had a wonderful 91 years, and was ready to go home and join her husband and best friend Bill, who preceded her in death on June 7, 2016. June was born in Appleton on June 27, 1926, daughter of the late James and Martha (Totzke) Thomas. June married William “Bill” Farquhar Jr. on April 26, 1947.

June is survived by her daughter, Barbara; grandson, Mike (Jessica) Walters; four great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, all of Texas; two sisters: Jan (Larry) Van Boxtel, Minnesota, and Linda (Carl) Hauser, Menasha; two brothers: Duke Thomas and Jim (Nancy) Thomas of Appleton; brother in-law, Ron Wenninger; and several other relatives and friends. She was further preceded in death by two sisters: Marion Thomas and Jean (Ron) Wenninger; brother, Danny; her mother and father in-law; a sister in-law and brother in-law.

A graveside service for June will be 1:00PM on Monday March 12, 2018 at Highland Memorial Park.

June’s family would like to extend a special thank you to her hospice caregivers from Affinity Home Hospice: Molly, Toni, Anne, Tesea and Theresa, from Right at Home, for helping June right until the end. Also a special thank you to Jeanne and Nancy for being there to help and check in on June the last several years.
