Judy Kay Mostofi, 72, of Appleton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 6, 2018. She was born in Ottumwa, IA on July 7, 1945, daughter of the late Forrest and Caroline (Edmondson) Parsons. Judy married Moussa Mostofi on August 30, 1969. Moe preceded Judy in death on July 9, 2017.
Judy worked as teacher for many years, and she loved working with children. She also volunteered her time and talent working with The Center for Grieving Children and with the Victim Impact Panel.
Judy is survived by her three daughters: Rebecca Mostofi, Seattle, WA, Heidi (Greg) Jette, Windsor CO, and Natasha Spietz, Appleton; six grandchildren: Zoie, Elliot, Liam, Jaxon, Izabella Jette, and Carter Spietz; two brothers: Richard (Donna) Parsons and Jack (Bonnie) Parsons; two sisters in-law: Jean Parsons; and Jaleh Mostofi; and several nieces and nephews. Judy was further preceded in death by her son, Joseph Mostofi; and brother, Donald Parsons.
Funeral service for Judy will be 11:00 AM on Sunday March 11, 2018, at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday morning beginning at 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to support Judy’s volunteer efforts.
