Joan Amanda (Buerth) Driessen

Joan Amanda Driessen, 85, died Thursday October 25, 2018. She was born March 1, 1933 in Kaukauna, daughter of the late Walter and Johanna (Baker) Buerth. Joan married James Driessen on May 31, 1952. James preceded her in death on January 16, 1989.

Joan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Appleton.  She enjoyed baking, the casino and playing Sheepshead with family and friends. Her greatest joy was watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Joan is survived by her children: five daughters: Deb Dorow (fiancé Mike Allen), Nancy Driessen, Cindy Driessen (Ken Reiland), Vicki (Greg) Geiger and Brenda (Jim) Rasmussen; two sons: Bruce (Deb) Driessen and Brian (Kathy) Driessen; daughter in-law Mary Driessen; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan was further preceded in death by her two sons: Brad and Scott Driessen; and three grand babies.

Funeral service for Joan will be 2:00 PM on Sunday October 28, 2018 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Brian Bankert officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 11:00 AM until the 2:00 PM service.
