Jean Elaine Besaw, 76, passed away on Thursday February 28, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 31, 1942 in Appleton, daughter of the late Pius and Helen (Fumal) Havel.
Jean managed several service stations in the valley. She enjoyed her “sister” lunches, playing cards for nickels with her brothers and sisters, running away to the casino occasionally, and trips to Las Vegas with her family and friends.
Jean is survived by her two daughters: Becky Besaw and Pam Besaw (Geneo); two granddaughters: Liz (Brian) Heisel, and Ashley (Dusty) Besaw; three great granddaughters: Macie, Makayla, and Lexie; great grandson, Dawsyn; eight brothers: John, David, Jerry, Robert, Richard, Steven, Thomas, and Kenneth Havel; and three sisters: Karen Greil, Janice Foth, and Debbie Welker. She was further preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents; her brother, James Havel; four sisters: Mary Baier, Kathy Collar, Judy Burke, and Donna Popp; and her great grandson Zayvier Xiong, who she may now continue to take her walk with.
Funeral service for Jean will be 12:00 PM (noon) on Saturday March 9, 2019 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Chaplin Brad McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 until 11:45 AM, with the service to begin at 12:00 PM (noon). Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Jean’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at both Rennes Health Center, and ThedaCare Hospice, for all of their care and compassion.
