Helen Rita (Anholzer) Young

Helen (Toots) Rita (Anholzer) Young, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 11, 2019.  She was born  September 19, 1934, daughter of the late Mary (Grosser) and Elmer Anholzer. Helen married Robert Young on October 9, 1954. They celebrated 60 years together before Robert preceded her in death on their anniversary October 9, 2014.

Helen especially loved spending time with family.  Many good times and memories were made with them, especially during summer vacations up north.

Helen is lovingly survived by a daughter: Connie (Bruce) Verbeten, Appleton; son, Greg (Anne) Young, Greenville; two grandsons: Chad Verbeten (fiancé Erin Jacobson), Appleton, and Michael Young, Greenville;  two granddaughters: Angie (Chris) Boehnlein, Sherwood, and Sarah (Jason) Witthuhn, Appleton, two great-granddaughters: Mikayla Boehnlein, Sherwood, and Lilly Witthuhn, Appleton, and great-grandson, Brayden Witthuhn, Appleton. Helen is further survived by her brother, John Anholzer; two brothers in-law: Donald (Byrdene) Young, and Terry(Linda) Young; four sisters in-law: Helen Anholzer,  Naomi (Lonnie) Iris, Sheila Kreisle, and Toni Young;  and  numerous nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by two sisters: Phyllis Goehler and Rita Anholzer; two brothers: Robert and William Anholzer; and a brother in-law, Stanley Young.

A private service with immediate family is being held.

Special thanks to all the “Special Angels” from Living Tree Estates, Mary Kate from Synergy, and Southern Care Hospice who took such good care of Mom.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Mom, we will miss your smiling face and ever-present “Yoo-Hoo’s”.  You will live on in our hearts forever!
