Gloria “Dot” Medvied Kraus

She was retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital and later from Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Parish in Appleton. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. They always knew there was a jar of M&M’s and chocolate covered raisins waiting for them when they visited. She will be remembered for her caring and supportive nature and her recent love of Hallmark movies and word search puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Delores (Randy) Parsons; stepdaughter, Carol (Michael) Sly; grandchildren, Stephanie Parsons, (Elizabeth Wade), Valarie Walker, Brandon Parsons, and Michelle (Pat) Katz; 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Andrew Medvied and second husband, Clarence Kraus; brothers, John and Gerald Streur, sisters, Ellagonda Sullivan, Ann Calmes, Elizabeth Streur, Cresentia Seggelink, and Virginia Magnus.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, 2:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Parish, 500 W. Marquette Street, Appleton with Fr. James Jugenheimer officiating. Gloria’s family will receive relatives and friend at the church on Friday from 12:45 p. m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Gloria’s honor to St. Jude’s Hospital.
