Ellen Jean Cavert

Ellen Jean Cavert 85, of Appleton, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday January 17, 2019. Ellen was born on January 13, 1934 in Appleton to Fernald and Lorraine (Werner) Cavert.

 Ellen enjoyed attending and rooting on the Appleton Foxes when she was younger.  She also enjoyed listening to Elvis and Johnny Cash, doing crossword puzzles, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, painting and watching the Game show Network, especially Family Feud.  She also enjoyed rooting on the Milwaukee Brewers and wearing hats. She was able to attend a Brewers game with her friends of Brewster Village and always talked about all the fun she had that day. Ellen will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her sassiness.

Ellen is survived by her special nieces and nephews; Marcia, Randi Jean, Rachel, Jenny, Tina A., Karrie, Amber, Tina M., Randy, John, Ryan, Jesse, Carl, James, Tristan, Samuel, Joshua, Zachary and Andrew.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; James (Pearl ) Fernald Jr. (Phyllis), Gerald, Robert, and Thomas, sisters; Leova (Reinhardt) Kamine, Virginia (Joseph) Dewildt, Marjorie (William) Lane and Mary Kortz.

A memorial service for Ellen will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday February 2, 2019 at Valley Funeral Home 2211 N. Richmond St. Appleton, WI with Chaplin Roy Rogers officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 AM until the service at 10:00 AM.

Ellen’s family would like to thank all the staff at Brewster Village for the love and care you gave Ellen. You are truly God’s angels and she loved each of you dearly. Brewster Village became her home. Thanks also go out to Heartland Hospice; Nurse Nicole, Joy; CNA Chaplin Roy, and Social Worker, Jenny.

Burial will take place this spring.
