Dorothy L Borkowicz

As previously shared, our mother, “Dorothy L. Borkowicz, 92, died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at The Bridges Nursing home in Appleton, WI. Dorothy was born in Milwaukee and graduated from Pulaski High School. She married Frank Borkowicz February 8, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI. Dorothy was employed for years as a Secretary at Notre Dame High School. She was a gifted pianist who volunteered hundreds of hours visiting nursing homes in Milwaukee then nearly 30 additional years in retirement with the Melody Maids in Eagle River, WI. She was an active member of AMVETS Memorial Post 60 Ladies Auxiliary.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, parents; and four siblings, Joe, Jerry, Emily and Betty.She is survived by her son Ron Borkowicz and wife Jeanne of Appleton, WI; daughter Geri Ulatowski and husband Jeff of Clover, SC; 4 grandsons; and 6 great grandchildren.

Due to the present indeterminate health and travel restrictions the memorial service in Milwaukee scheduled for May 16th, 2020 is cancelled. We will give notice if there will be a future gathering scheduled, however, it is likely that there will only be a private family graveside service.
