Diana Marie Koehler (Seipel), age 65, went from the loving arms of her family to the Lord’s embrace on May 24, 2019. She was born in Milwaukee on February 6, 1954, daughter of William Seipel and the late Vernetta Seipel.
Diana will always be remembered as a caring and compassionate mother and grandmother. She worked as a unit clerk for many years at Appleton Medical Center. Throughout her life, Diana enjoyed fishing, writing, playing cards, and watching her Green Bay Packers. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family and spending time with them at family gatherings on the lake.
Diana is survived by her family: her children, Stephanie Bowden, Kacey Bowden, William Bowden (Karen), and Thomas Koehler; her four grandchildren, Sierra Sherley, Dustin Sherley, Logan Warner, and Brady Bowden; her father, William Seipel; her six siblings, Yvonne Weinzirl (Steve), David Seipel (Sue), Duane Seipel, Thomas Seipel (Cindy), Cindy Abraham (Paul), Robert Seipel (Annie); and her special friend, Kurt Koehler, and his children.
The family would like to thank Dr. Montgomery Elmer at Thedacare, the Thedacare Hospice team, Cherry Meadows, and Century Oaks.
The funeral service for Diana will be held on Saturday, June 1, at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Appleton with Father Jim Lucas presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM.
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10
