David William Heller, age 81, died peacefully on Saturday, December 08, 2018 at Matthews Assisted Living of Neenah.
David was born on August 1, 1937 in Appleton a son of the late Adolph and Lorraine (Schmitz) Heller. He was a 1955 graduate of Stockbridge High School. Dave was formerly employed with Appleton Paper as a sheeter operator for over 44 years retiring in 1999. He also served his country in the US Army during the Berlin Crisis. Dave was united in marriage to Suzanne Alesch on February 23, 1963 at St Joseph Catholic Church. He was known as the “Car Nut” everyone that knew Dave knew his passion in life was collecting and repairing/restoring his cars.
David is survived by his wife, Suzanne of 55 years, a son, Daniel Heller, and a sister-in-law, Loretta Heller and by several nieces, nephews other relatives and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Marc, a daughter, Lizbeth, a sister, Carol, brother, Harold Heller, and a sister-in-law, Pat Roche.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established for St Jude Children’s Hospital or the Humane Society.
