Clara Mae (Kruse) Marcks

Clara Mae Marcks age 93, died peacefully 1 day from her 94th birthday.
She was born May 2nd, 1924 in Shiocton, WI. Daughter of the late William and Anna (Riehl) Kruse. Clara married Ralph Marcks on May 9th, 1942, and moved to Appleton WI where they raised 6 children together. Ralph preceded her in death on September 26, 1961.

Clara enjoyed spending her days cooking, working on needle point, coloring in her books, and playing cards. She also enjoyed her occasional trips to the casino (especially when she WON!). Clara loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great - grandchildren. She also loved spending time with all her friends at Rennes Health.
 

 Clara is survived by her 5 children: Jerry (Terri) Marcks, Rita (Joe) Nabbefeld, William (Susan) Marcks, Dennis Marcks, and Richard Marcks. 
13 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren with 1 on the way; and her sister Rose. Clara was further preceded in death by her son Melvin Marcks; grandson Troy Marcks; her 4 sisters: Marie Arnold, Sally Moede, Hazel Voight and her sister and best friend Betty Williams; her brother Daniel Kruse; and 4 brothers in-law. 

Funeral service for Clara will be 11:00 AM on Friday May 4, 2018 at ST. JOHN UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 1130 W Marquette St; Appleton with Rev. Gail Irwin officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Friday morning beginning at 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
