Charlotte Mabel (Sackett) Plamann

Charlotte Mabel (Sackett) Plamann, of Appleton, peacefully passed on from this world June 15, 2018, at the yearly repeated age of 29. Char was born on July 5th, 1935 to Rexford and Eva Sackett, the youngest of three daughters that included Roxie and Marge.

Char married the love of her life, Duane (Duke) Plamann on May 19th, 1956, and the party never stopped. Char and Duke enjoyed a life full of friends, hugs, and love, and many could arrive at 1905 to great company and a cocktail. Char and Duke raised their family of three, Steve, Greg, and Brenda in Appleton, and were well known amongst many social crowds.

Whether it was being passionately involved with her church’s Ladies Aide, bowling, shaking dice, and gathering with her Wild Women LYBNC, or enjoying walking dates with a friend, Char was a wonderful example of a compassionate, strong, and loving woman.

Celebrating her life and the time they had with her are Char’s husband, Duke Plamann, sons Steve (Rhonda) Plamann, and Greg (Sharon) Plamann, son-in-law Jon Ray, grandchildren Angela (David Savides), Laura (Ben Paton), Charlie (Brittany Seymour), Blair (Kyle Van Lith), Kate and Allie Ray, Two Great granddaughters Stella and Cecilia Van Lith, four great-grandsons, Tate and Arthur Savides, Duke and Leo Paton along with many other family including cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Char was greeted in Heaven by God, her parents and her sisters, her daughter Brenda and many of her in-laws, relatives, and friends

A memorial service for Char will be held 11:30 AM on Friday June 29th, 2018 at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 Morrison St. Appleton, with Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday morning beginning at 8:30 AM until 11:15 AM with service to follow at 11:30. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to the ovarian cancer research fund in Brenda’s honor.

Char’s family would like to thank the staff at Theda Care TC 2nd and 5th floor and the Rennes staff for your care, compassion, and professionalism you have shown Char.

To know kindness and gentleness, mixed with a bit of spunk and sass, was to know and love Char.
