Brian N. Depner, 60 died Monday December 24, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton. He was born May 7, 1958 in Appleton, son of the late Norman and Beata (Radtke) Depner. Brian married Elizabeth Mauel on May 25, 1989.
Brian worked as a truck driver for Taxair Freight since 1996. He enjoyed his yearly trout fishing with “the boys”, his many trips with Liz and Nate to Florida and Jamaica, spending time with his brothers in Pembine, his “union breaks” in the Tiki with neighbors; and playing the drums.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Liz; their son Nathan (special friend, Katie Smith); his three brothers: Dan (Linda) Depner, Gary (Judy) Depner and Richard Depner; his father and mother in-law: Jerome (Ginger) Mauel; uncle and aunt: Robert (Carolyn) Wagner; and several other brothers and sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was further preceded in death by two brothers: Chris and Randy Depner.
A memorial service for Brian will be 7:00 PM on Wednesday January 2, 2019 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, with Rev. Calvin Reyburn officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday beginning at 3:00 until 6:45 PM, with the service to begin at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Brian’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Gold Cross Ambulance, the entire emergency room staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, and to Rev. Calvin Reyburn for all of their care and compassion.
Brian and Nathan were two “peas in a pod”, they loved going to the Guitar Center together, playing the drums, father and son trips to Madeira Beach, FL., and working on projects around the house. They were best friends. “Love you always and forever”.
