Arlyne Plamann Obituary

Arlyne Anna Marie (Hinz) Plamann received her Crown of Life on Sunday, November 17, 2019.  She was eager to be reunited with her Lord and Savior, and her late husband, Fred, who had passed away on July 30, 2019.

Arlyne was born on September 11, 1935 in Stanley, Wisconsin to the late Gerhard and Lorraine Hinz.

She was united in marriage to Frederic Plamann on May 30, 1960 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Appleton, WI.  She graduated from Appleton High School in 1952.  She worked at the telephone company until she married in 1960.  Her best job was being a stay-at-home mom raising four children Julie (Kelly) Burr, Joan (Todd) Phillips, Jim (Amy) Plamann and Jean (Scott) Callaway.

Arlyne was blessed with nine grandchildren, Michelle (Craig) Johnson, Nick Burr, Jordan Phillips, Katie and Sam Plamann, Jacob, Matthew, Brooke and John Callaway and two great grandchildren Ayden and Avery Johnson.  She is further survived by numerous nieces and nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She loved to bake treats for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed watching their activities.

Arlyne is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Frederic Plamann, her parents Gerhard and Lorraine (Schreiner) Hinz, her brother Gerald Hinz, her in-laws Oscar and Mamie Plamann and sisters-in-law Elaine (Richard) Becker and Joyce Plamann.  She is survived by her sister-in-laws, Margaret Hinz and Gloria Breitenbach.

She was a faithful member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Freedom Wisconsin (N2740 French Road) where her celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019.  Visitation will start at 8:30 am to 10:45 am with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am.  A private burial will take place.

The family would like to thank Brewster Village Mills nursing staff and Heartland Hospice Care for making her last days enjoyable and comfortable.  In her last months, she received several visits from family, friends, her church family and Pastor Jim Fleming and Pastor Phil Koelpin.  She enjoyed those visits tremendously which put a smile on her face.

In lieu of flowers, the Plamann family asks that checks or money donations be made to St. Peter Lutheran endowment fund.

“I see the moon, and the moon sees me, God bless the moon and God bless me!”
