Janice E. (Howe) Scheibe

Janice E. Scheibe, age 91, formerly of Gillett, WI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Appleton, WI.

She was born on April 30, 1932 in Plover, WI, daughter of the late Lloyd and Grace (Boushley) Howe.

On September 4, 1948, she married Floyd Scheibe.

Janice was a former employee of AAL-Thrivent. She volunteered at Underhill and the Gillett Nursing Home as well as at AAL-Trivent. Janice enjoyed needle work, gardening and vacationing in her travel trailer. She was well known for her great sense of humor and always was helping others.

Janice is survived by her daughter Mary (Ken) Buetow; a son Thomas (Kordi) Scheibe; Sadie her loving dog; sister Carol Hopfensperger; brother Allen (Lalett) Howe; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joan (Wayne) Strelow; sister-in-law Karen Scheibe; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tim (Judy) Scheibe; grandchildren John, James, Justin, and Jessie Scheibe, Tina Lison and Tanya Scheibe-Mirek and Brienne Scheibe.

Beside her parents and husband Floyd, she was preceded in death by two sons Floyd Jr and John (Barb) Scheibe and numerous family and in-laws.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 10:00 am at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54911. Burial will be Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.

Visitation will be will be on Wednesday, April 3rd from 9:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
