Clyde Stephan Park

Clyde Stephan Park, age 86, made his transition on Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Oak Park Place in Menasha, WI. He was born on April 20, 1937 in Appleton, WI, son of Elmer and Dorothy (Meidam) Park. He graduated in 1955 at Appleton West High School. Clyde married Beverly Mae Starks, who graduated in 1956 at the same high school. They met at First Congregational Church while in Junior High School. Their marriage of 66 years began on February 22, 1958.

Clyde was an outdoorsman in any kind of weather and a lover of nature which he taught to every member of his family including his wife. He was a hunter, fisherman, hobby woodworker and photographer.

Surviving is his wife Beverly; son James Stephan (Lynn Peterman) Park; son-in-law John (Heidi) Schlenz; 4 grandchildren Ashley Marie (Adam) De Bruin, Chersti Lynn (Andrew) Avergonzado, Daniel Stephan (Abigail Skiba) Schlenz and Aubree Lee (Elliot) Bogdonovich; 9 great grandchildren Brylee Lynn, Beckett David, Berklei Marie De Bruin, Kamea Marie, Kawai James, Kalani Aukai, Malu Keali’I, Malia Anela Avergonzado and Hudson Stephan Schlenz.

Clyde was preceded in death by his daughter Judy Lynn Park-Schlenz; his parents Elmer William and Dorothy Ellen (Meidam) Park; his maternal grandparents John Stephan and Helena (Raue) Meidam; his maternal great grandparents Stephan and Julia (VanOoyen) Meidam; his paternal grandparents Maylon and Martha (Volkman) Park; and his paternal great grandparents William and Elizabeth (Lennox) Parks.

A memorial in a celebration of Clyde’s life will be held on his birthday, Saturday, April 20, 2024 at the Unity of Appleton Spiritual Community, 1366 Appleton Road, Menasha, WI at 1:00 pm.
