Catherine (Lowney) Niec

Catherine Lowney Niec, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 with her family by her side.

She was born on July 14, 1936 in Bear Creek, WI, daughter of the late James Lowney and Myrtle (Anderson) Buss.

Catherine enjoyed her Ancestry, cats, reading books, dolls, and meeting Country Stars and getting auto graph’s from them. She lived in Appleton, WI most of her life and later moved to Amberg, WI to enjoy the country living.

Catherine is survived by her children Debra Werth of Appleton, WI, Clint (Deb) Werth of Fox Crossing, WI, Lisa (Pam) Werth of Appleton, WI, James (Julie) Werth of New London, WI, James Kapla of Green Bay, WI, and Scott (Patti) Werth of Appleton, WI; daughter-in-law Jean Werth of Neenah, WI; many grand children and great grand children; sibling Joan Braeger of Appleton; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons Michael Werth and John Berger; two sisters Marilyn (James) Van Pelt and Harriet (Don) Bushman.

Catherine’s family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to friend Darlene and Ken Jones and her special neighbor Edwin Depies for all there help over the years.

A celebration of Catherine’s life will be held at a later date.
