Lois Pynch, Appleton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Rennes Nursing Home Facility. She was born October 28, 1927 in Oshkosh, WI to Alta and Earl Burdick. Lois married James William Bill Pynch on May 9, 1947 in Oshkosh. They enjoyed the next 52 years together until his passing in 1999. Lois was an enthusiastic and dedicated elementary school teacher serving primarily in the Menasha school district for 25 plus years. She was also an active member in Delta Kappa Gamma for many years as well. Church, travel, but especially family and friends were the priorities in her life. In addition to extended family and friends, Lois is survived by her son, Larry (Pam Henderson) Pynch, Menasha, daughter, Laurie Esson, New Berlin, granddaughters, Erin and Elizabeth Esson, New Berlin, Jordyn (Mark) Zimmerman, Wilmington, NC, grandson, Charles Pynch, Indianapolis, IN and great granddaughter, Mycah Zimmerman, Wilmington, NC. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her elder sister, Virginia. The family will welcome visitors from 4:00  7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25th at Valley Funeral Home, Appleton. All of Lois friends are encouraged and welcome to attend a memorial service in her honor on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Community United Methodist Church, N1966 Julius Dr., Greenville with the Rev. Tom Lambrecht officiating. Private burial services will take place in Lakeview Memorial Park, Oshkosh. A memorial fund is being established in her name.
