Cotton, Virginia M.

Virginia M. Cotton, 82, Appleton, passed away following a lengthy illness at Appleton Health Care Center. She was born October 7, 1926 to the late Archie and Mabel Patterson in Appleton. Virginia married Howard Cotton and he preceded her in death in 1993. She worked as an inspector at Zwickers Knitting Mill for many years. Virginia was also a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Appleton.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Gloria Cotton (special friend Duwayne Hendricks); a son, Richard (Ginger) Cotton; a sister, Rose Ann Buss; grandchildren; Ann, Casey, Jamie and Skye; son-in-law, Steve Wildt and several great grandchildren. She is further survived by sisters-in-law; Mary Patterson, Gladys (Clement) Wolf, Elaine Cotton as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Wildt: brothers; Don (Alice) Patterson, LeRoy (Lorraine) Patterson, Howard (Dorothy) Patterson and James Patterson: sisters; Margaret (Arnold) Kriehn, Patricia (Larry) Rankien and an infant sister Dorothy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday, October 2, 2009 at Star of Hope Chapel in Highland Memorial Park with Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating. Friends may visit the family from 9:00a.m. until the time of service also at the chapel.
