Sekuljica, Herta
Age 87, Appleton, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008. She was born in Kassel, W. Germany to Wilhelm and Elisabeth (Schaefer) Eich on March 22, 1921. Herta worked as a nursing assistant for 20 years at Kenosha Memorial Hospital. Upon retirement, she enjoyed many years in Peoria, Arizona. She enjoyed swimming and knitting. Herta was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Appleton.

Herta is survived by three children: Werner (Anita) Pfeuffer of Waynesboro, PA, Anita (Jeffrey) Jensen of Appleton, and Irene Sekulic of Kenosha; grandchildren: Michael Jensen, Tanya (Patrick) Couch, Christi (Chad) Kubiak, Paul Pfeuffer, Martina Pfeuffer, Keith Pauley and Robert Pauley; 8 great-grandchildren.

Herta is preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Gertrude Reichart and Sophie Bonn; first husband: Werner Pfeuffer; second husband: Teodor Sekuljica.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 7 pm at Valley Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, from 6-7 pm at Valley Funeral Home.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being established.

Special thanks to the caring staff at Brewster Village whose friendship and care goes beyond words. Dr. Kent Partain and Dr. Deborah Schultz whose care over the years has been outstanding during Hertas struggle with arthritis. Many thanks for her friends Margaret Kubek, Peggy Schwalbach, and Julane Beinemann for their continued friendship.
