Deloris J. (Godfrey) Slemp

Deloris J. (Godfrey) Slemp, 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday March 4th  2018. Deloris was born on Tuesday January 16 1934 and will be remembered as a simple and quiet person whom never brought attention to herself. She was always there for her children. Never missing an event they were involved in and being the driving force behind them as well. Many can also remember her as being a neighborhood mom always loving to take the children on beach trips and various outings.

Her hobbies included crafting, scrapbooking, puzzles and needlework. She was also involved with The Red Cross and The Salvation Army.

She is Survived by 4 sons; Frank (Tena) Slemp of New Plymouth, Idaho, Stuart Slemp of Apopka, Florida, Timothy Slemp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Slemp of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 2 daughters; Sandy Slemp of Lawrence, Kansas, and  Bridgett Slemp of Appleton, Wisconsin. Further survived by 1 Brother; James Ingersoll “Bud” of Wooster, Ohio,  12 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Logan and Wilda Myrtle (Godfrey) Ingersoll, Loving Husband Frank Slemp and son Arthur Slemp.

A Memorial Service will be held at Valley Funeral Home 2211 N. Richmond St. on Thursday March 8, 2018. Visitation will be held from 4pm until 7pm with Service to begin at 7pm.

In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made to American heart association and American diabetes association.
