Gauerke, Phillip
Phillip V. Gauerke age 61, passed away May 20, 2008 in Madison, WI. He was born on July 6, 1946 to Anton and Edna (Kronberg) Gauerke Jr. in Appleton WI. He graduated from New London High School Class of 1964. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Russian interpreter. He attended UW Madison and received a teaching degree. He received a Ford Foundation grant and went to Russia to study and tour the country for four months. He attended Madison Technical College and received a degree in Computer Science. Phil worked for Omni Resources, Inc., Madison as a Data Processing Consultant, working mainly at the State Departments of Transportation and Vital Statistics.

He is survived by two brothers: Earl (JoAnn) Gauerke of Burlington, WI, Franklin (Pat) Gauerke of Lansing MI; four sisters: Mildred (Ray) Golden of Neenah, Melda (Norman) Bang of Owatonna, MN, Lois (Gerald Sr.) Edinger of Appleton, Elizabeth Gauerke of Manawa; and other relatives and friends.

Phil is preceded in death by his parents and a sister: Anita Enloe; three brother-in-laws: Kenneth Enloe, James Coenen and Norman Hameister; a sister-in-law Shirley Gauerke.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Valley Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Tabitha Gallatin. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of the services.

Burial will be at Grace Lutheran Church Cemetery at Larsen WI. at a later date.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established in his name.
