Eckstein, James E. Jim
Age 70, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital Thursday January 11, 2007. He was born on September 11, 1936 to the late Lawrence and Evelyn (Parker) Eckstein. On December 2, 1975 Jim married Nancy Steiner. Jim served in the Marine Corps and was a law enforcement officer with the Outagamie County Sherifs Department. His many interests included hunting and fishing, the EAA, spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with Danny. Jim was a member of the Moose Lodge, the VFW, and the Marine Corps League. He was a pilot and for the past 3 years had been building his own gyrocopter.
Jim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy; two sons, Dan (Cindy) Steiner, of Appleton and their son Danny, and Mike (Dawn) Steiner, also of Appleton; five brothers and three sisters. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
