Reichel, Helen J

Helen Jean Marie Reichel, nee Schnabl was called by her Savior to heaven on Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Appleton with her family at her side. She was born April 27, 1927, to the late Joseph and Lydia (Lang) Schnabl in Appleton. Helen graduated from Appleton High School and loved working in a medical office. She enjoyed meeting people and was a wonderful Christian friend. She married Lester F. Reichel on November 5, 1953, at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Appleton and remained a faithful member all her life. She was a member of the Ladies Aid, the Sunshine Club, and the Altar Guild. Baking was her passion and her special treats will be missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Lester; two daughters, Mary, Appleton and Amy (Jeff) Harr, MN.; two beloved grandchildren, Thomas and Emma Harr; a brother-in-law, Earl (Elnor) Reichel, Madison; a sister-in-law, Elda OConnell, MN.; and a godson, Gary (Colleen) Schwerke, Osseo; nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many devoted friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Grace (Glenn) Schwerke; a brother-in-law, Wayne Reichel; and a sister-in-law, Doris (Raymond) Michler.

Funeral services for Helen will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 27, 2012 at St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church at 302 N. Morrison St. Appleton with Rev. Kenneth Frey officiating. Visitation will be at the Church from 10:00 am until the time of services. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.valleyfh.com
